A therapist in Chennai, India, recently shared an eye-opening message in her stories. She stated that if we always pity ourselves by missing the person we were before, we are attempting to dodge responsibility for the decision and its implications. We blame others for our failures, and we convince ourselves that the answer to change is not within ourselves.
That we have no control over our circumstances.
Change might be frightening, but we cannot blame others for our actions.
I had always assumed that the person I saw in the mirror was someone I knew. I realized I had no idea why I did the things I did the instant I became aware.
Don't cling to a mistake simply because you spent so much time making it.
Learn from it.
And evolve. You'll see that you'll never want to go back. Not even for a second.
